This is what happens when you step on broken glass. Please don't throw your glass bottles where people swim. I got 4 stitches and a tetanus shot.

Jonah laughing with tears still fresh on his cheeks. Being a child must be exhilarating! One moment you're wailing and the next you're grinning with joy.

For Alison's birthday we took a walk through the farmer's market in Logan Square. It was a hot day and even the sunflowers seemed to scorching in the heat. You can almost feel it in the bright yellow flowers.

It was a hot, hot day in Millennium Park. I met a bunch of friends downtown to soak up the sun and listen to Iron & Wine play us some songs. It was a beautiful day. I can't believe I didn't get sunburn! Click the image above to be taken to the Gallery or click here.

Taken in the Cook County Forest Preserve. A spider crawls across the forest floor, captured for a moment in a shaft of sunlight. It's hard to focus on such tiny creatures in near darkness. I think this one is pretty moody. I hope you can see the spider well enough. Let me know if you can't. That'd be a shame.

Jai and Brandon of the Mpls Henrys rocking out.
The Minneapolis Henrys (my close friend Brandon's band) rocked out at the Whistler a couple weeks ago. It was a fun show. They had a ton of energy. Check out my photographs of the event by clicking the photo above or here.
You can check them out on Facebook or listen to some of their songs on MySpace.

Alison and I had a picnic at Montrose Beach on a chilly Sunday evening. Despite being the middle of June, the cold wind coming off of Lake Michigan kept us from sticking around for too long. The sky was beautiful though.

An icy outcropping at North Avenue beach extending out into Lake Michigan. So cold that day. Bitter wind and bracing chills. My fingers nearly froze in my fingerless gloves.

Remember when we had to dress like this? It wasn't that long ago. Enjoy the summer while it lasts. It won't be long before we're all bundled up again and spending most of our time in doors. Hit the beach. Soak up the sun. Go swimming. Remember, winter is coming. ;)

Alison at the Morton Arboretum. Taken October 21, 2009. I love the out of focus foreground of pine between the lens and her. Just lovely.
Nighttime in downtown Denver is quite serene. This was taken from a condo building looking into Denver's downtown. What a great city.
Blue skies have taken me.
Dead bears in Denver seem to be becoming a problem. Perhaps he just drank too much.
