Another day, another photo of Brittiney. This one was taken was taken a super long time ago during a trip to the Morton Arboretum during a stormy, overcast day. It rained, there was wind, the world was wet and we explored all day long. The strange weather that day led to some cool photographs, this being my favorite. Maybe I'll share another one someday.
Spring, 2003. (I think.)
Rockmill. I cut my foot on a broken beer bottle on top of that waterfall in the background. We had to climb out of the ravine afterwards, me with a towel wrapped tightly around my foot.

On Sheffield Avenue, in Lincoln Park, a tree fell today. It destroyed someone's car. After talking to the woman for a minute, she told me how unlucky she had been. She has her own garage where the vehicle is usually parked. However, today her bathroom remodelers needed to use the garage for their work and so she decided to park in the street. She chose this spot. Then the tree fell. Imagine deciding to park in one place and then, that decision, which usually requires no thought to make, ends up becoming the vehicle's doom. Such a sad chaotic happening for this sweet, unlucky lady. I'm sure her insurance will take care of it. Let's hope there's no "acts of god" clause.
This was taken on Mother's Day in Plainfield, Illinois at my mom's house. This is the field behind her backyard. Behind the trees lies a river that her two dogs, Cooper and Indy, love to swim in and get really muddy. There's a lot hidden in those trees. Hawks, owl, deer, poison ivy, dogs, fire pits and long ago days hiding in the trees when we weren't so old. I even spotted a giant eagle in the sky that day. An angry (and much smaller) hawk was chasing it through the open skies. Beautiful.
