The Tokyo International Exhibition Center (popularly called Tokyo Big Sight) is an awesome structure of four inverted pyramids raised up above Odaiba in Tokyo Bay. Really quite the structure. It towers above everything around it.

Rockmill. I cut my foot on a broken beer bottle on top of that waterfall in the background. We had to climb out of the ravine afterwards, me with a towel wrapped tightly around my foot.

An icy outcropping at North Avenue beach extending out into Lake Michigan. So cold that day. Bitter wind and bracing chills. My fingers nearly froze in my fingerless gloves.

The low, setting sun really does create some spectacular light sometimes. Even my iPhone 4 can capture it wonderfully.
The snow is melting, running underground through miniature caverns. It's quite beautiful. But, it's frightening knowing that all over the earth, much more massive glaciers and snowcapped mountain peaks are suffering the same free flowing melt.
