Telephone Pole
On someone's back porch in Chicago there rests a gutted and lonely telephone pole. Nobody is calling home.
Rooftop Bird
I was playing around in Aperture and I came up with this shot. I love the tiny silhouette.

A Fallen Tree
On Sheffield Avenue, in Lincoln Park, a tree fell today. It destroyed someone's car. After talking to the woman for a minute, she told me how unlucky she had been. She has her own garage where the vehicle is usually parked. However, today her bathroom remodelers needed to use the garage for their work and so she decided to park in the street. She chose this spot. Then the tree fell. Imagine deciding to park in one place and then, that decision, which usually requires no thought to make, ends up becoming the vehicle's doom. Such a sad chaotic happening for this sweet, unlucky lady. I'm sure her insurance will take care of it. Let's hope there's no "acts of god" clause.

Tables in the Courtyard
The low, setting sun really does create some spectacular light sometimes. Even my iPhone 4 can capture it wonderfully.
A Field With Trees
This was taken on Mother's Day in Plainfield, Illinois at my mom's house. This is the field behind her backyard. Behind the trees lies a river that her two dogs, Cooper and Indy, love to swim in and get really muddy. There's a lot hidden in those trees. Hawks, owl, deer, poison ivy, dogs, fire pits and long ago days hiding in the trees when we weren't so old. I even spotted a giant eagle in the sky that day. An angry (and much smaller) hawk was chasing it through the open skies. Beautiful.
The 99% Full Moon
I took this interesting photograph of the 99% full moon early this morning at around 2 AM. It captures the mood I felt very well, but of course the detail isn't there. This is heavily processed using Camera+ and after import to my iMac, Aperture 3. I like it.
Carl Sandburg High School Prom
On April 29th I took a trip out to the suburbs, Orland Park to be exact, to make some portraits for a group of lovely couples. With all luck on our side, the day turned out to be a wonderful summery day in spring. Here are a few of my favorites. Click the link at the bottom of this post to be taken to the entire gallery.
Stormy Skies in Chicago
The skies here in Lincoln Park are looking rather foreboding.

Prom Preview
The ladies show their garters in this summery photograph. There's a whole bunch of images coming soon. I'm waiting on a final payment from a couple couples before I can release the whole group of images. I hope you enjoy this one though!
